曾文水庫號稱全台最大的水庫，擁有不少自然生態，近年為發展觀光，西拉雅國家風景區管理處與遊艇業者合作，讓民眾搭乘遊艇探訪曾文水庫。西拉雅風管處提醒遊客，在欣賞風景時，也記得要保護好水庫，才能讓曾文水庫湖畔美景永續發展。
經濟部水利署調查，曾文水庫設計總容量為7萬4840立方公尺，滿水位面積約1714公頃，是台灣蓄水量第一大的水庫。曾文水庫四周高山綠樹環繞，自然的山林映照在水面上，景色相當優美，因此，近年來也讓遊艇業者進駐發展觀光。
西拉雅國家風景區管理處表示，曾文水庫遊湖除欣賞水墨畫般的美景外，也能欣賞黑鳶、白鷺及山豬等自然生態，是全家大小外出遊玩的好去處。
曾文水庫遊艇每周六、日上午10點及周日下午4點都有固定船班，每趟遊湖收費300元。
